Picton is easily accessible by inter-island ferry from Wellington, by road from Christchurch or Nelson and by air via Blenheim and Picton Airports.
The Marlborough Region includes Blenheim, Havelock, Picton and the Marlborough Sounds and is an outdoor enthusiast’s delight. A 15 minute walk takes you to the centre of Picton, which has a number of cafes along the foreshore.
Thirty minutes in the opposite direction is Waikawa Marina, offering pleasant surroundings yachts at Waikawa
walking tracks and further cafes. Combined with the Picton Marina,
this area has one of the biggest marinas
